Filed under: apple, archlinux, gnome, linux, news, repository, space, themes — gianvito @ 11:38 am

Archlinux Installation:

Links:

Gnome 2.22 in [extra]

  • sudo pacman -Sy gnome
  • add fuse to MODULES in /etc/rc.conf
  • sudo pacman -Syu
  • Done.

NAUTILUS-OPEN-TERMINAL To update your nautilus-open-terminal to 0.9 use this PKGBUILD

However we can build gnome also with Garnome or Jhbuild

PS. After updating to gnome 2.22… libtool will be updated to 2.2-2… this will break your pulseaudio… See here how to get it working again.

OUT OF DATE

Thanks to Cimi we can install Gnome 2.22 (i686) without building it. After compiling it with PKGBUILDs from x86_64 testing (with ABS) he updated pkgs to a repo. So:

  • sudo nano /etc/pacman.conf
  • add to it between core and extra repositories
[gnome]
